Yuzawa, just 70 minutes by Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo, is famous for its heavy winter snowfall. Many of Japan’s top ski resorts can be found here, along with excellent onsen (hot springs) and top hotels and inns.
The Yuzawa area is famous for its rice production, the delicious base for a wide range of dining options. The excellent onsen and dining al so mean that Yuzawa and Minamiuonuma are enjoyable not only for skiers and boarders, but for anyone who wants to experience Japan’s Snow Country.
